Yana Water

We are based at the Village Post Office in Ras, within Tehsil Borsad of Anand. Being in a rural area like this means our work is very important to the people who live here. We handle water distribution, and it is a job that never really stops. The pumps need constant checking and the tanks have to be maintained so nothing goes wrong. We have a couple of tankers that we use to transport the water to different parts of the district. The roads in Ras aren't the best, so we have to drive slowly to avoid any accidents. It is a lot of outdoor work, so we are always dealing with the weather, whether it’s the burning heat of Anand or the heavy rains. We don’t have a big staff, just a few local men who know the equipment well. We usually meet up at the post office area to start our day and plan out the routes. It’s a quiet life in the village, and we like it that way. There is no corporate office here, just our tools and the water tanks. We just want to make sure the supply is steady for everyone who relies on us. It’s hard, physical work, but it’s what we do every day. We just keep our trucks in good shape and try to reach everyone on the list.
