We are based in the Balasinor taluka within the Kheda district. It takes a little while to drive out here, but the extra space is worth it for the business. Everything is run from a very simple building that has a lot of open storage space surrounding it. Our mornings are spent checking what has arrived and making sure the stacks of supplies didn't shift or lean over during the night. The work involves a lot of manual labor, mostly just loading and unloading stuff all day long. You can always smell the dry earth and the scent of old sacks in the air. We don't have any fancy brochures or a website that looks professional. We just have a desk phone that rings constantly and a ledger book that is starting to fall apart at the corners. The guys who work here have been with us for a long time and they know exactly where everything is stored without needing a map. We sometimes have a laugh when a new driver gets lost trying to navigate the Kheda Jila roads. It isn’t a complicated way to make a living. We buy things, keep them in the yard, and sell them to locals for their building projects. The concrete floor always has a layer of powder on it. In the peak of summer, the heat inside the warehouse is really tough to deal with. We just keep the water cold and wait for the evening.
