M/S Jayanta Mahanti & Co. is right there in Sarai Maidan. People in Purulia know this part of town gets quite busy during the day. We’ve been at this spot for a while now, just handling the day-to-day stuff that comes with running a business here. The office isn't anything fancy, just a practical space where we get our work done. Most mornings start with unlocking the doors and checking what needs to be sorted for the day. Sometimes the weather in Purulia makes things a bit slow, especially when it gets really hot outside, but we just keep at it. There’s always someone stopping by or a delivery to deal with. We don’t really go in for big signs or loud talking about what we do. It’s more about just being here and keeping the paperwork and the orders moving. The neighborhood has changed a bit over the years, more shops opening up nearby, but the Maidan stays the same. We spend a lot of our time just managing the routine, talking to the people who come in, and making sure the lights stay on. It’s a quiet kind of work most of the time.
