Tata Power

Start by mentioning Manoharpur. We are set up here in Bolangir, Orissa. The 767001 area is where we spend most of our time. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular office setup. Some days the weather is quite heavy, but we keep the doors open. We've been at this spot for a while now. People know us by the Tata Power name around these parts. We handle things as they come. There's no big speech to give about why we are here, we just are. You can find us right in the heart of the village basically. Most of the staff comes from nearby. We have desks and chairs and a lot of paperwork. It gets a bit cluttered sometimes because we don't have a cleaning crew coming in every hour. The lights flicker occasionally, which is ironic I guess. We try to keep things organized but life happens. If you're looking for us, just ask for the place near the main post office. It's a simple brick building. Nothing too special to look at from the outside. We have a small yard where a few bikes are parked. Sometimes we sit outside during lunch when it isn't too hot. It’s just how things go here in Manoharpur. The walls are a bit pale and we have old fans that hum. We've stayed in this Bolangir spot because it works for the tasks we have. It’s a grounded way of doing things. We have some tea together in the mornings before we start the files.
