Hari Har Hospital

Hari Har Hospital is located in Sood Para, which is a part of Balangir. It is a local hospital that has been around for some time now. The area of Sood Para can get quite congested with people and carts, especially during the middle of the day. The hospital building itself is a solid structure, though it shows its age in places like the door frames and the staircase. We have several rooms for patients and a main area where the nurses congregate to check charts. The air smells a bit like disinfectant and floor cleaner most of the time. There are windows in the wards, but they mostly look out onto the other buildings nearby. We have a lot of people coming in from the surrounding villages in Balangir because this is a central spot for them. The benches in the hallway are made of wood and can be a bit hard if you sit there for hours. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the backup to kick in, which is common enough around here. Our staff stays busy moving from one room to another. It isn't a place with a lot of modern art on the walls or anything like that. It’s just a functional hospital in Sood Para where we try to take care of whoever walks through the front gates. We see people at their worst and sometimes their best, and we just keep the lights on for them.
