Pavan Winding Works

Pavan Winding Works is tucked away at Plot No G6 in Pallavi Appartments. We are right here in Vinayak Nagar, Balanagar. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze because we have a lot of motors and copper wire everywhere. The workbench is always cluttered with tools like pliers and testers. We spend the day rewinding motors that have burnt out. It’s a lot of sitting and focusing on small wires. The light in the shop isn't great, so we use a desk lamp to see what we are doing. People from around Balanagar bring us their fans or pumps when they stop working. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know how to handle the coils. Sometimes the wire gets tangled, and it takes a while to straighten out. We don't have a fancy waiting room. Customers usually just stand by the door or come back in a few days. The smell of grease and burnt metal is pretty constant here. Vinayak Nagar is busy, so there is always noise outside. We just keep our heads down and do the winding. We’ve been in this apartment complex for a while now. It’s not a factory, just a small workshop. We don't do much advertising; people just find us through word of mouth. We try to finish the jobs as they come in, one by one.
