Aks Foods

Our business, Aks Foods, is located in Village Sultanpur on Jarout Road. We are not too far from Chandigarh Road, which is the main route for most people around here. Being in a village like Sultanpur means we have a bit more space, but it also means we have to deal with the mud when it rains. We handle various food products and spend most of our time in the warehouse area. It’s a practical setup with plenty of room for storage and moving things around. We don't have any polished floors or air-conditioned offices. It’s just a place where we work. We have a small group of workers from the village who have been with us for a while now. Every morning we check the stock and see what needs to be moved out to the customers. The Jarout Road is usually quiet, but we get the occasional truck passing through to the main highway. We don't really do much in the way of advertising or marketing. Most people find out about Aks Foods just by word of mouth or by seeing our sign on the road. It’s a lot of manual labor, lifting boxes and checking invoices. We try to keep things organized, though it can get a bit chaotic when several orders come in at once. We like the rural setting because it’s peaceful. Even when the work is hard, we can look out and see the green fields. It’s a straightforward way to make a living.
