Shiksha Samarthya Foundation

Shiksha Samarthya Foundation operates out of Matangachowkvill in Baregaon. We are located at Narayan Brahma’s place, which is near the post office in Tamulpur, over in the Baksa district. It is a quiet part of the world, and we like it that way. Our focus is on education, or what we call Shiksha, and trying to give people the strength or Samarthya to do more. We don't have a big campus or a lot of equipment. Most of our work is done right here in the village or by visiting nearby areas. Being in Baksa, we see a lot of families who want better for their children. We try to help out where we can, whether it’s with learning materials or just some guidance. The office is just a regular room where we keep our stuff. It isn't polished or corporate at all. Sometimes the rain makes the roads to Baregaon a bit messy, but we still manage to get things done. We aren't trying to be the biggest foundation out there. We just want to make sure the kids and adults in our little corner of Assam have a bit more support when it comes to learning. It’s just us, working with what we have, and trying to be honest about the challenges. We’ve been part of this community for a while and plan to stay as long as there is work to do.
