We are located out in Karemura village, right in the Dakshin Baska area. Our office sits on Patta Number 35 and Dag Number 155, which might sound a bit technical, but it’s just a regular spot near Mushalpur. Being here in the Baska district means we are surrounded by a lot of green and quiet. At Himalayan Gram Vikash Nidhi Limited, we don't put on any airs. The office is just a practical space where we can get our work done without distractions. We spend a lot of time looking over accounts and making sure the numbers add up. Most of the people who come to see us are from the local villages. They might be farmers or workers who just want a safe place for their savings. We talk to them in the local language, and we don't use any of those big words you hear in the city. There is a lot of dust during the dry season and plenty of mud when it rains, but we keep the place as clean as we can. We have a few cupboards for the files and a table that has seen better days. It is a small operation, but we take it seriously. We aren't trying to change the world; we are just trying to help our neighbors manage their money a little better. It is honest work and it keeps us connected to the land here.
