Ferenga Agro Organic Producer Company Limited

Our main spot is at Rupon Goyary’s place in Rabang Guri, which is in the Baksa district. Ferenga Agro Organic Producer Company Limited is a group of local people who decided to join up and work on organic farming together. It’s a beautiful area out here, but the work is definitely not easy. We spend a lot of time in the fields, and Rupon’s house is where we gather to talk about what needs to be done next. It’s a simple setup with just the basics. We don't have any high-tech equipment or fancy office chairs. Most of the time, we are sitting on wooden stools or just standing around in the yard. We have to deal with the mountain weather and the way the ground changes with the seasons. It’s a lot of physical labor, and by the end of the day, everyone is pretty worn out. We don't use a lot of big words or try to sound like we know more than we do. We just know how to grow things and how to work with each other. Sometimes the bugs get to the plants or the rain doesn't come when we need it to, but we just keep going. It’s a community effort, and everyone in Rabang Guri knows that we are just trying to do something good with the land we were given. It’s quiet, it’s honest, and it’s our life.
