Vidya Dairy

If you go over to the Anand Agricultural University Campus, you’ll find us. We are Vidya Dairy. Being on a university campus means things are usually a bit more organized, but it’s still a working dairy at the end of the day. We deal with milk, cream, and all the usual stuff you’d expect. The mornings start very early here, usually before the sun is even up, because that’s when the milk comes in. It’s a routine we’ve had for years. There’s something nice about the quiet of the campus in the early hours. We aren't a huge commercial operation with massive billboards. We just focus on the cows and the milk. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, or the cows are a bit stubborn, but we manage. The staff here mostly lives nearby, and they’ve become like a little family over time. We don’t use a lot of big words to describe what we do. We just process the dairy and make sure it’s ready for the people who need it. It’s basic, essential work. We like being part of the university environment because there’s always something interesting happening nearby, even if we are just focused on our own bottles and crates. It’s a good life, if you don’t mind getting your hands a bit dirty and working long hours.
