Our office is situated in Ward No 3 of Kushinagar, which is in the Kangra district. We are very easy to find because we are right near the petrol pump. It’s a busy spot where people are always stopping to fuel up their trucks and cars. We spend a lot of time talking to local farmers and people involved in the trade about how things are going in the fields. We aren't some distant organization with a high-rise office. Our space is simple and practical, located right where the work happens. There are usually stacks of papers on the desks and a pot of tea on the stove for whoever walks through the door. The weather in Kangra can be a bit unpredictable, but we are here rain or shine. We focus on the practical side of the industry, looking at what the manufacturers and formulators need to deal with every day. It’s a lot of coordinating and sharing information among the members. We don't use a lot of technical jargon if we can help it. We’d rather just talk plainly about what’s happening in the market. The petrol pump next door means there’s always noise and the smell of fuel, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We’ve been part of this community for a while now and we know the local landscape well. It’s just a group of people working together to keep things moving forward in our part of the world.
