I run things out of my house at number 80 in Dayanand Nagar. It’s right off the Utraula Road, so it isn't too hard to find if you’re looking for it. Since it’s a home-based business, it’s pretty informal. I started doing this because I saw a gap in what was available in the neighborhood. I don’t have a big staff, just me, Vinod Kumar, and occasionally someone to help out when things get really busy. The front room serves as the main area where I meet people and keep my files. It’s not a corporate office by any stretch. There’s usually a pot of tea on the stove and some neighborhood noise coming in from the street. I handle various tasks, mostly related to local trade and services. People stop by at all sorts of hours, and I try to accommodate them as best as I can. It’s a bit of a juggle sometimes, balancing home life with work life in the same space, but I’ve gotten used to it over the years. I don’t do any fancy advertising. Word of mouth around Dayanand Nagar is usually enough to keep me busy. I like the independence of working for myself. It’s not about getting rich or building an empire. It’s just about doing what's needed for the people around here and earning a decent living. I keep things simple and try to help where I can without making things too complex.
