Shah Clinic

We’re out on Utaraula Road in the Gulriha area. It’s a straightforward spot to get to if you’re coming down the main road. The clinic isn't very large, just enough space for the exam room and a small spot for people to sit while they wait. We see a lot of people from the surrounding villages and the local neighborhood here. It gets dusty sometimes because of the road work nearby, but we try our best to sweep out the front every morning. It’s a busy stretch of road, so there’s always something going on outside the window. We don't have any flashy equipment or a big lobby. It’s just a functional place where we spend our days. I usually have the radio playing low in the background to fill the silence when things are slow. People usually just drop in when they need something looked at. We don't have a fancy computer system for everything; we still use a lot of paper files and notebooks to keep track of things. It feels more personal that way, even if it takes a minute longer to find a folder in the cabinet. The afternoon sun can get pretty hot, so we keep the fans running all day long. It’s a humble place, but it serves the community well enough. We’ve stayed in this same spot for a long time now. Just a local clinic on a busy road. People around here know us well and know where to find us.
