Sahsawan Organic Farmer Producer Company Limited

This company was started by a group of us farmers in the Sahsawan area. We are based out of Dakakara Pukhta in Badaun, specifically at Satyapal's place. Being a farmer producer company means we are just a bunch of local growers who decided to pool our resources. We focus on organic methods because that’s what feels right for the land here. It isn't a corporate office with suits and ties. Most of us are out in the fields or meeting up at the village to talk about the season. We don't have a big marketing department. We just rely on each other to get the crops grown and sold. Badaun is where we live and work, and it's where our families have been for a long time. Satyapal helps keep the records straight at his house. Sometimes it’s hard to get everyone together, but we manage. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in India. We just want to make sure the farmers in our group get a fair deal for their organic produce. It’s a lot of hard work and sometimes the weather doesn't help us out, but we stay at it. It’s about keeping the soil healthy for the next generation and making sure we can all keep farming without going broke or relying on too many outsiders.
