Public Clinic

Living and working on Balrampur Road means you get used to the noise of the traffic in Tulsipur. Public Clinic is situated right along that stretch, and it’s a fairly straightforward setup we have here. It isn't a large building, just enough room for a small waiting area and the consultation space. Usually, I get here a bit before the morning rush to make sure everything is in order. The street outside can get quite crowded with people going to work or the market, so there’s always something to look at through the front window. Inside, we keep things pretty basic. There are no expensive decorations or soft music playing. It’s just a place where you can sit down and wait your turn. The floor is tiled, which makes it easier to clean when people trudge in dirt from the road. Some days are quieter than others, but usually, there is a steady flow of folks from the neighborhood. We know most of the people who come in by their first names since Tulsipur isn't that big of a place. It’s a bit cramped when five or six people show up at once, but everyone just finds a spot to stand or leans against the wall. The light isn't the brightest, but it’s enough to see what we are doing. We just focus on the daily tasks and try to be useful to the people living nearby on this side of town.
