Gupta Clinic

Out here in Utraula, Gupta Clinic is just a regular spot where people come when they aren't feeling well. We are located in the Balrampur area, right in the middle of things. The clinic is just a few rooms where we handle the daily patients. It’s a bit of a dusty road outside, but inside we try to keep it tidy. There isn't much to say about the building, it's just a normal structure. We’ve seen many seasons pass from this office. People from the surrounding villages often travel in to see us. We don’t have any grand waiting rooms, just some basic seating. Most of the time, the doctor is busy in the back while the rest of us manage the front. It gets hot in the summer, but we manage. We aren’t a big hospital or anything like that. Just a small clinic serving the Utraula community. We keep our own records and know most of the people who come in by their first names. It’s a personal way of doing things, I suppose. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to use the lanterns for a bit. That’s just life in Balrampur. We open up early and close when the work is done. It’s a simple existence, really. No big fuss, just medicine and talk. It’s how things go around here for us and the patients. We just stay steady with our work.
