Down in Bahraich, specifically at 175 Khutehna, you’ll find our oil business. Goldbrothers Edible Oil India is where we spend most of our waking hours. It’s a rural area, so things move a bit slower here than in the big cities, which we like. We process different types of edible oils. The smell of seeds being crushed is something you get used to pretty quickly. It’s a messy job, oil gets on everything, but it’s honest work. Our building is a standard industrial block, nothing that would win any awards. We just need it to keep the rain off the machines and the stock dry. The roads around Khutehna can get a bit muddy during the monsoon, making it hard for the trucks to get in and out, but we manage. We’re a small team, mostly people from the nearby villages. We don't have a marketing team or a board of directors sitting in some glass tower. It’s just us figuring out the daily production and making sure the bottles are filled right. People in Bahraich know us, and that’s enough for our business to keep going. We don’t promise anything grand, we just provide the oil that people need for their kitchens. It’s a basic life, but it keeps us busy and the community fed. We’ve been at this for a while and plan to stay here for much longer.
