Chakachak Shree Sitaram Ashram Foundation

Our foundation is located in the Nanakpura neighborhood over in Bahraich, right by the post office in Risia. It’s a small operation run by local folks who have lived here forever. Maya Devi and Ashok Kumar are the ones who really keep the place together. It’s more of an ashram vibe than a business office, which suits us just fine. People stop by all the time, sometimes just to chat or ask for advice on local matters. We keep our records in a simple way, and we don't bother with fancy software or anything too complicated. The building is simple, nestled in the mohalla where everyone knows everyone else’s business. We focus on whatever the community needs that day, whether it’s helping out a family or organizing a small gathering. The roads in Nanakpura can get pretty muddy during the monsoon, so things slow down a bit then, but we stay open. It feels more like a community hub than anything else. We don’t have a big budget for advertising, so most people just hear about us through word of mouth. It’s a humble setup, but it’s ours. We spend our afternoons making sure the ashram stays clean and ready for whoever might walk through the door looking for a bit of support or a quiet place to sit for a while. It is a good place to be and we try to stay busy every single day.
