Owamina Drug

We are located in the Jalangi area of Murshidabad, specifically near the high school and the spot people call Sadikhans Death. It is a busy little corner of the world, especially when the school lets out and the kids are everywhere. Owamina Drug is a simple shop. We have a counter in the front and shelves lining the walls from floor to ceiling. Most of what we do involves keeping track of the different medicines that the local families need. We get a lot of people coming in who live nearby in Murshidabad. The building is older, but it stays dry even when the monsoon rains are heavy outside. We have a small fridge for the things that need to stay cold, and we have to check the temperature on that a few times a day. Dealing with the heat is part of life here. We usually have a radio playing quietly in the background while we work. The address near the high school makes it easy for people to stop by on their way home. We spend our mornings sorting through the new arrivals and checking that everything matches the invoices. It is a lot of paperwork, but it has to be done. Sometimes the street gets dusty, so we are always wiping down the glass. We just keep things running as best as we can every day without much fuss. It is just the way the shop has always been.
