Shri Optical Industries

Shri Optical Industries is located over in Basant Vihar. We are at number 14/343, which is very close to Saint Paul School. You can often hear the kids playing outside during their recess while we work. We aren't a retail shop where you go to buy a pair of glasses or get an eye exam. We are more on the industrial side of things. There are machines and tools all over the place. It smells like plastic and shaved metal in here sometimes. It’s a small operation. We have been working out of this Basant Vihar location for a good number of years now. We know the neighbors and the local shopkeepers quite well. Our day starts early before the school traffic gets too bad in the street. We spend most of our time at the workbenches. It isn't a glamorous job, but it's what we know and it is the work we do every day. We don't have a big sign outside or a fancy showroom for people to visit. Most of our clients are other businesses who know exactly what we produce. The lighting inside is kept very bright so we can see what we are doing with the small optical parts. We have a few desks for the paperwork, but most of the space is for the equipment. It’s a bit cluttered, but we know where everything is. We don't bother with marketing. We are just a local industry.
