Sethi Engineering Works

If you go down towards Dayalband and look near the Shitla Mandir, you will find us. Sethi Engineering Works is right there in Mainwali Colony. It’s a decent neighborhood, a bit quieter than the main market areas but still active. You can usually hear the sound of machines running if you walk past our doors. We have a few lathes and some welding equipment that stay busy most of the day. The shop floor is always covered in metal shavings and oil. We try to sweep it up every evening, but by the next morning, it’s back to how it was. That is just the nature of engineering work. The Shitla Mandir is a good landmark, and we often hear the bells ringing in the morning while we are setting up our tools. It’s a nice sound to work to. We don’t have a big corporate team. It’s just a few of us who know how to handle the machines and fix things when they break. We spend a lot of time measuring and cutting. Sometimes a job takes much longer than we thought, so we end up staying late under the tubelights. Our tea breaks are the best part of the afternoon when we sit on the stools outside and watch the traffic go by. We’ve been in this spot for years and most people in the colony know us by name. It’s steady work and we like it.
