Our place is located at Plot No. 189 in Sector 17 of the Hsiidc Footwear Park, right near the entrance to the footwear park area itself. Since we are in the footwear park, almost everyone around us is doing something related to shoes or leather. We fit right in with our own production setup. The building is fairly new compared to some others in the area, which is nice. We spend most of our time looking at materials and cutting patterns. It takes a lot of concentration to get the pieces to line up right. There is always a lot of scrap material on the floor by the end of the day, so we have a routine of cleaning it all up before we head home. The light in the workshop is pretty good because of the large windows we put in. We don't have a sales team or anything like that. Usually, people just drop by or call the landline when they need something. We’ve had to learn a lot as we went along. Some days the machines act up and we have to spend hours fixing them instead of producing. That’s just part of being a small business owner. We try to keep a decent stock of supplies so we aren't caught off guard. It’s a steady life and we’re happy to be here in Sector 17. The park is quite large, so it took us a while to get settled. We often grab lunch at the local canteen nearby and talk to the other shop owners.
