Maruti Mechanical (India) is located in Surya Nagar, which is right in the Sankhol area. If you are driving nearby, you can usually smell the biscuits because the Parle factory is just down the road. It is a pretty distinctive landmark for us. Our place is more of a workshop and storage area than a fancy office. We have a lot of mechanical parts and tools lying around. The floor is concrete and usually has some oil stains from the machines. We spend our days working on different mechanical components. It is hard work, and our hands are rarely clean. The sun hits the building pretty hard in the afternoons, so it gets warm inside. We have a couple of big fans that we keep running to stay cool. People around Surya Nagar know us as the place where the work actually gets done. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy slogans. We just have our tools and our knowledge of how things fit together. It's a local operation, and we like it that way. Most of us live nearby, so the commute isn't too bad unless the traffic near the factory gets backed up. We have been in Sankhol for a good number of years. It’s just a regular mechanical shop where we take care of the business and look forward to the end of the day.
