D R A Foods Pvt Ltd

Over at 464-465 in the M.I.E. area, we have our setup for D R A Foods Pvt Ltd. It’s an industrial spot, so there aren't many trees or nice views, just other buildings and a lot of concrete. Inside, it’s mostly about processing and packing. We have a few lines running most days. It gets pretty humid when the steam is going, and the smell of whatever we are cooking that day stays in your clothes. We aren't a giant corporation with fancy logos on every wall. It’s more of a family feel here, even if we aren't all related. We eat lunch together in the small breakroom, usually talking about the cricket score or local news. The floors get slippery, so we have to be careful with where we step. Maintenance is a constant thing; there's always a pipe that needs tightening or a lightbulb that's flickered out. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Most people know we are here because they’ve seen the trucks or worked with us before. It’s steady work. Some days are longer than others, especially when a shipment is late or a machine breaks down right before we are supposed to finish. We just take it as it comes and try to do a decent job for the folks who buy our stuff. It’s a simple life out here in the industrial estate.
