Balaji Art Gallery

You can find us over on Old Jhajjar Road, tucked into Dalal Market. We are right behind the Municipal Committee building, so it’s a familiar spot for most locals. The gallery isn't one of those silent, cold places you see in movies. It’s a working space where we handle different types of art and frames. Most of our day is spent moving things around or talking to folks who walk in from the market. The air in here usually smells a bit like wood and maybe some paint. We have stuff hanging on the walls and leaning against the corners because we run out of room pretty fast. Dalal Market is always loud and full of people, so coming into the gallery is a bit of a change of pace for some. We don't put on any airs about what we sell. People like what they like. Some days we spend a lot of time just dusting frames or making sure things are lined up straight. It’s a lot of physical work, actually, more than people think. We’ve stayed in this spot because it feels right for the kind of business we run. Being behind the committee building makes it easy to give directions. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that. We just open up the doors every morning and see who comes by. It’s a simple way to spend the day, surrounded by pictures and the local crowd.
