Durga Pipe Store

Durga Pipe Store is located in Ward No. 9 on Mangal Singh Road, right there near the Janta Dharamshala. We have been sitting here on Barnala Road for a good while, surrounded by stacks of pipes and all sorts of plumbing fittings. The store is filled with long tubes of plastic and metal that lean against the walls or sit on big racks we built. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes when we are looking for a specific diameter or a certain type of elbow joint. People from the neighborhood come in when they have a leak at home or when they are building something new. We also see a lot of local plumbers who know exactly what they want and just point to the pile. The road outside can get a bit muddy when it rains, and since we are near the dharamshala, there are often many people walking by or cars parked haphazardly. We spend a lot of time dragging pipes out to the front for people to load onto their cycles or small trucks. It’s dusty work because the pipes sit there and collect whatever blows in from the street. We don't have a computer system for everything; we mostly just know where stuff is by memory and look at the labels on the boxes. It is just a regular shop where we sell what people need for their water lines and drains without any big fuss.
