Betaleshwar Prabhu Prem Foundation

We are based out in Betalghat, specifically in the Chapar area near Bhatrojkhan. Rahul Arora is the person in charge here at Khata No 27. It is quite a rural area, so things move a bit slower than they do in the big towns like Dehradun or Delhi. We like it that way. The foundation was set up to help out the local families in the Taurar region. We do not have a big fancy office with glass walls and air conditioning. It is just a simple building where we keep our records and meet with people who come by. Sometimes the roads are a bit rough, especially after the monsoon rains, but we still get our work done. We focus on being a part of the village life. Most of the people we help are our neighbors or people we have known for many years. We do not spend money on advertising or big signs. People just know where Rahul lives and they come by when they need something or have a question. We handle the paperwork for various local projects and try to keep everyone informed about what is happening. It is a quiet life, but we feel like we are doing something useful. We have a small garden outside where we sit when the weather is nice. It is not much, but it is our place of work. We just keep going day by day, helping where the need arises.
