Baba Jageshwar Nath Farmers Producer Company Limited is located over in Dadrababuri. Yogendra Nath Tiwari is the one who looks after things here. We named the company after Baba Jageshwar Nath because he's a big part of the local culture and faith. Our daily life is pretty much tied to the land. Dadrababuri is a place where you can’t really get away from farming even if you wanted to. We spend our time trying to organize the local growers so we can actually get something done. It’s a lot of manual work and the paperwork is usually an afterthought, though we try to keep up with it at Yogendra’s place. You’ll usually find a few farmers hanging around the office at any given time, just sharing news or complaining about the heat. We don't have any flashy equipment or a big budget. Everything we have goes back into the farming activities. Sometimes it’s stressful when the market prices drop, but having the company helps us stay a bit more stable. It’s just a group of us who grew up here and want to keep the farms going. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Most people just know us by name and know where to find Yogendra if they need help. It’s a basic operation, but it works for us. We are just local people working the dirt.
