Yashodha Super Market

Down on Old Badami Road, you will find us at Yashodha Super Market. We are right there near the Saratha Complex, which is a busy little corner of the neighborhood. The shop stays quite packed with all kinds of items piled up on the shelves. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but we know where everything is kept. People from the nearby apartments walk over to get their daily supplies. It gets really crowded in the evenings when everyone is finishing work and stopping in to pick up food for dinner. We spend a lot of time just restocking milk or counting change at the counter. The building itself is older, but it serves us well enough. We don't have any fancy music playing or bright neon signs. It’s just a regular market for the local folks. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the narrow road outside, and there is a bit of shouting to get them to move, but that’s just life here. We see the same kids coming in for snacks every afternoon after school. It feels like a small community inside these walls. We aren't trying to be a big chain store or anything like that. We just open the doors early and stay until late. It is hard work staying on your feet all day, but it’s what we do.
