The Kolar Chemical Industries

Down here in Banhatti, near the Arun Talkies, you’ll find our place. We’ve been operating as The Kolar Chemical Industries for a long time now. Jamkandi Taluk is where we’re based, out in the Bagalkot district. It’s a bit of a drive for some, but for us, it’s just the daily commute. The building is simple and sits right where people expect it to be. Working with chemicals means we have a lot of safety stuff to worry about, so most of our time is spent following routines. It isn't a glamorous job. There’s a lot of cleaning and checking containers. We keep the doors open to let the air circulate when it’s hot. People in the post Banhatti area know us by name mostly. We don’t really do much advertising. The work speaks for itself when the orders go out on time. Sometimes the equipment acts up and we have to spend the whole afternoon fixing a pump or a valve. That’s just part of the life here. We aren't a massive factory with thousands of people. It’s a smaller setup where everyone knows what their job is. We take things one day at a time and try to stay organized. Being near the talkies means there's always some noise nearby, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. It’s just a regular local industry doing its part. We hope to stay here for many more years to come, just doing what we know.
