We are based in Bagalkot, over in Ward No 10. You can find us at TP No 74, which is quite close to the Sharda Lodge. We are actually right behind the old DCC Bank building, which is a spot most locals know pretty well. The office isn't much to look at from the outside, just a regular door in a busy part of the town. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, chairs, and stacks of paper because we do a lot of record-keeping for the chit fund. It can get a bit warm during the afternoons, so the ceiling fans are usually running at full speed. We’ve been here for a while, and the neighborhood has changed a bit, but we’re still in the same spot. People come by throughout the day, especially towards the end of the month when the payments are due. We don't really have a receptionist, so someone just comes to the counter when they see a visitor. It’s a lot of manual work, writing things down in the big books and checking them against the receipts. The street outside is often busy with people going to the lodge or the other shops nearby, so there’s a constant hum of activity. We try to keep things simple and honest here. It’s just a regular local business where we know our neighbors and do our work at a steady pace every single day without any big complications or fancy systems.
