Sharan Hospital

If you know Javali bazar, you know how tight the streets can be. Sharan Hospital is right in the middle of all that action. It is a very old part of town, and the building reflects that history. We’ve got some cracks in the plaster and the windows rattle when a heavy truck passes by, but the structure is solid. Most days, I get here before the market really wakes up. The air smells like the stuff from the nearby shops, sometimes spices or cloth. People find us because they’ve lived here their whole lives. We don’t use big neon signs; everyone just knows the blue door. Inside, it’s mostly quiet compared to the noise outside. We keep our records in old folders, though we are trying to use the computer more these days. It takes time to change things. The hallway is narrow, so people have to step aside to let others pass. We handle all sorts of cases, from little scrapes to bigger problems. It’s a steady stream of people from morning until late evening. My back usually aches by the end of the shift, but seeing a neighbor walk out feeling better makes it okay. We aren't trying to be the biggest place around, just a reliable one for the folks who shop and work in the bazar. It's a simple life here, focused on the people who walk through that door every single day.
