Prajashree International Granites Private Limited is situated at #162/4/05 on Basavanagar Road. We are part of the Tegginamath Plots area, which is quite close to the Taj Stadium in Ilkal. Being in the Ilkal and Hungund region of Bagalkot means we are right in the heart of granite country. Our yard is usually full of stone slabs and there is always the sound of machines or trucks in the background. It is a dusty place to work, but that is just how it is with granites. We spend a lot of time outside on the plots checking the quality of the stone. The sun gets really strong out here in Bagalkot, so we wear hats and try to stay in the shade when we can. We are not some big corporate office in a skyscraper; we are just a local business working with local materials. Most of the people working here have lived in this area their whole lives. We know the stone and we know the business. It is hard physical work, and at the end of the day, we are usually pretty tired. We just focus on getting the slabs ready and making sure they are loaded correctly. It is a simple operation and we like it that way. No need for anything fancy when you are dealing with rocks all day and trying to keep the yard organized.
