Mahalaxmi Traders

The shop is right there at 57, Chikhalki Circle, right next to the I O C Petrol Bunk. It gets pretty noisy with all the cars and trucks pulling in for fuel all day long. Sometimes the smell of petrol drifts over when the wind blows the right way. We’ve been here at Mahalaxmi Traders for a while now. Most mornings start with just opening up the shutters and sweeping the front step because the dust from the road never really stops. It’s a busy spot. People stop by on their way somewhere else, or they’re local folks from around the circle. We spend a lot of time just moving things around and keeping track of what’s in the back. There isn’t much fancy about the office. It’s just a desk, some chairs that have seen better days, and a lot of paperwork piled up. We don't really do much big talk here. It’s mostly just getting the work done and making sure things go where they need to go. The tea stall nearby is where we usually get our afternoon break. It’s just a normal day-to-day routine for us. You see the same faces often, drivers coming through, people asking for directions because of the circle. It’s a landmark for most. We just keep the doors open and do what we do. Nothing more to it really. It’s just how things are at our spot near the bunk.
