Mahabir Kirana Store

Mahabir Kirana Store sits in Ward No.12 of Navanagar. It is a place where we spend most of our daylight hours. When we first started here, the area was a bit quieter, but now there are more houses around. We stock the basics like flour, oil, and different kinds of spices. Every morning starts with a cup of tea while we wait for the first customer. Usually, it is someone looking for milk or bread. We don’t have a big team or anything, just us making sure the bags are filled and the change is right. The shop isn’t very big, so we have to use every inch of the walls to stack things up. Sometimes we forget where we put the smaller items, but we find them eventually. Navanagar is a good place to be, and being in Ward No.12 means we see the same faces every day. We know who likes which brand of tea and who usually asks for credit until the end of the month. It is a lot of standing around, but that is just how a kirana store works. We try to keep things honest and simple. There are no big signs or loud music here. Just the sound of the weighing scale and people talking. We keep the place open even when it rains, though the roof leaks a little near the back door sometimes. We just keep going because that is what we do.
