Akkis Pharma

Akkis Pharma sits right across from Durga Vihar on Mahaveer Road. We are quite close to the railway station, so the sound of trains is something we’ve just gotten used to over the years. It’s a busy spot, especially when a train pulls in and the street fills up with people walking toward Mahaveer Road. Our shop is right there in the middle of all that activity. We have a front window that looks out toward Durga Vihar, and it’s a good way to see what the weather is doing before we head home. Inside, the space is filled with racks and cabinets. It’s not a large place, so we have to be smart about where we put everything. Sometimes it feels like we are playing a game of Tetris with the boxes that arrive on the trucks. We don’t have much in the way of fancy furniture, just some old chairs and a sturdy desk where we handle the books. The floor is made of plain tile that we mop every morning before the first person walks in. Being so close to the station means there is always a sense of hurry in the air outside, but inside we try to keep things moving at a steady pace. We just do our work, manage the inventory, and make sure the door is open for anyone coming off the road who needs us. It's a plain, hardworking spot.
