Anoop Forgings Pvt Ltd is located out at J-56 in the Addl MIDC area. We are in Kuduvali village, which is part of the Murbad Taluka near Badlapur. It is a bit out of the way compared to the city, but that works for us because forging is a loud and heavy business. We have these massive hammers that hit the red-hot metal and you can feel the ground shake when they are working. It gets incredibly hot near the furnaces, especially during the Maharashtra summers, so we all drink a lot of water and take breaks in the shade. The factory floor is dark and covered in soot, which is just the nature of the forging process. We don't have any fancy office furniture or air-conditioned meeting rooms. If you want to talk to us, you usually have to do it over the noise of the machinery. We make parts for all sorts of machines and vehicles out of steel. It’s tough work and it’s not for everyone, but we’ve got a good crew from the local village who have been with us for years. We just focus on getting the shapes right and making sure the metal is strong. There isn't much to see out here except for other factories and some green hills in the distance. We just keep the fires going and get the orders out of the gate every day.
