Down at Plot No. 136-B in Epip Phase-1, you’ll find R. K. S. Fabricators. It’s a loud place most of the time because that’s the nature of fabrication work in Jharmajri. There’s always the sound of metal being cut or someone banging on a frame to get it straight. We don’t spend much time worrying about the decor. The walls have some grease marks and there are stacks of iron and steel bits tucked into every corner. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes. Working here means getting your hands dirty and dealing with the smell of hot metal. It gets pretty warm in the summer, but we keep the fans going and just push through. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. Most of the guys have been here long enough that they can do the work without thinking too much about it. We’ve got our routine. Start early, take a break when the sun is at its peak, and keep working until the job is actually finished. Sometimes we have to stay late if a project is dragging on, but nobody complains much. It’s just the way things are in this part of the industrial area. We share the road with a lot of other units, so there is always a lot of traffic and dust. We just focus on what’s on the workbench today. It is a simple way of working that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday.
