Alpla India Pvt. Ltd. is situated at No. 100 in the Epip Phase-2 area of Thana. Being in an industrial phase means the surroundings are mostly other big buildings and wide roads with trucks moving in and out. It’s a bit of a trek to get here from the main residential parts, so most of us spend the whole day inside the gates. The facility is quite large, and there’s always the sound of machinery running in the background. It’s a steady hum that you just get used to after working here for a while. We have different shifts, so people are coming and going at all hours of the day and night. The security guards at the gate know everyone’s face by now. Inside, it’s all very practical. We have concrete floors and bright lights that stay on all the time. There’s a small canteen area where we grab a quick bite during breaks, usually just some simple food we brought from home. We spend a lot of our time on the production floor, watching the lines and making sure everything is moving like it should. When a machine needs fixing, things can get a bit hectic for a while. We keep our supplies in the back in large crates. It’s a lot of physical work, and by the end of the shift, everyone is ready to head out and catch the bus. It’s just a regular industrial setup where we keep things running all day.
