Shiv Brick Industry

We spend most of our time out here in Gudhni at Shiv Brick Industry. It is a lot of work with the clay and the heat from the kilns, but that is just how it goes for us. People around here know where we are because we have been in this spot for a while now. Some days are busier than others depending on if it rains or if the sun is out to dry the bricks. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. It is mostly just the yard and the stacks of bricks waiting to be loaded up. My cousins and I usually handle the loading when the trucks pull in. Sometimes the dust gets everywhere, especially in the dry months, but you get used to it after a few years. We just try to get the orders ready so the drivers aren't waiting too long. It is not a very complicated business, just digging, shaping, and firing the earth. We see a lot of the same faces coming by for their building projects. The tea stall down the road is where we usually take our breaks when things quiet down in the afternoon. It gets loud when the machinery is running, but mostly it is just the sound of work being done. There isn't much else to say about us, we just stay here in Gudhni and keep the kiln going every day.
