Govind Ram Ram Kumar Dall Mill

If you go to Kareli village and head toward the post office you will find our dall mill near Shyam Ganj Chouraha. We have been part of this village in Bareilly for many years. The mill is a noisy place especially when the harvest comes in and everyone is bringing their grain. There is always a lot of dust in the air and the smell of raw pulses which is just how it is in this line of work. We do not have a fancy office or any air conditioning. It is just the big machines and the bags stacked up to the ceiling. Most of our days are spent checking the grain and making sure the rollers are working correctly. It is heavy work and our clothes usually end up covered in flour by the end of the shift. We know the local farmers well because they have been coming here for generations. We do not have a website or a social media page because we do not really need one. People in the tehsil know where we are and what we do. Sometimes the power cuts out and everything stops and we just sit outside and wait for it to come back on. It is a simple life and we do not try to make it sound like more than it is. We just run the mill and try to keep things honest for the folks who rely on us.
