S K Age Exports

S K Age Exports operates out of Kamatagi Taluk in the Hunagund area of Bagalkot. It is a quiet enough place compared to the big cities, but we stay busy with the export side of things. We spend a lot of time on the phone and checking containers to make sure everything is where it should be. The office is simple, nothing too fancy, just some desks and a lot of files. We deal with the local products that come from around this part of Bagalkot and get them ready to go further away. It’s a lot of logistical work that most people don't see. Sometimes the weather affects the schedules, which can be frustrating, but we just adapt and keep moving. We’ve been based here in Hunagund for a while and have a good rhythm with the local transporters. It’s not a flashy business with a big front window. It’s more about the back-end work and making sure the shipments are handled properly. We have a small group of people working here who know the ropes. We don't really do much in the way of promotion; we just focus on the task at hand and try to make sure the exports go out on time without any major hitches. It’s steady work. Some days are longer than others when we have to wait for a specific shipment to arrive from the fields, but that is part of the trade. We just stay patient and get it done. It is a good way to make a living.
