Yb Brick Bhatta Udyod

Down in Rama Pur, things move a bit slower than in the city. Our place, Yb Brick Bhatta Udyod, is situated right here in the Burhanpur Taluka. To get mail to us, you have to use the Post- Mahul address, otherwise it might get lost. We spend most of our time out in the open fields where the kilns are. It’s a lot of manual labor, hauling mud and stacking bricks to dry in the sun. We don't have many fancy machines, so we rely on our hands and a bit of luck with the weather. If it rains, we’re in trouble for a few days, but that’s just how it goes in this business. We aren't trying to be the biggest outfit around. We just want to make sure the bricks we produce are solid enough for the local builders. Most of the guys working here have been with us for years. We eat lunch together under the shade when the sun gets too high. It’s a dusty job, and you won’t leave here with clean clothes, that’s for sure. We don’t have a big philosophy or anything. We just wake up, check the fire, and start making more bricks. It’s a basic life, but it suits us just fine. People know where to find us when they need materials for a new project in the village. We just keep the bhatta running.
