Word Saree Center

Finding us isn't too hard if you're familiar with the Gujjar Dairy area. We are located right in Bunkar Colony, over in Imiliya Mau. It’s a bit of a walk from Diwani Kachahri Road, but most people who live around Gautam Nagar know the way. Word Saree Center is just a regular shop where we keep a lot of different sarees. We spend most of our mornings just folding and stacking things. Since we are in Green Park, it stays pretty lively during the day. It’s a neighborhood where everyone knows everyone, so we get a lot of neighbors coming in just to chat or see the latest colors we brought in. We don't have any fancy displays or anything like that. It's mostly just piles of fabric and us trying to help someone pick out a good piece for a wedding or a small function at home. The area around Imiliya Mau is full of weavers and people who understand cloth, so we have to be careful about what we stock. It gets dusty sometimes with the road nearby, but that’s just how it is. We’ve been here for a bit now, and while it’s not a huge operation, it keeps us busy from morning till late evening. We usually have tea together in the afternoon when things quiet down for a bit. It’s a simple life running a saree shop in this part of town, but we enjoy the work.
