Shree Syam Ispat

Being out here in Village Hasanpatti isn’t exactly like being in the middle of a big city. It is quiet until the gates open at Shree Syam Ispat. We deal with metal and steel, so it is heavy work and can get very hot during the summer months. The yard is usually full of iron rods and scraps that need moving around. We are located near Jeanpur, so the drivers usually know the route well enough by now. Sometimes the rain makes the ground muddy and that slows down the loading. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It is mostly just the supervisor and the loaders making sure the orders go out to the right places. The office is small and usually has a stack of papers that never seems to get shorter. We drink a lot of water here because of the heat from the materials. It is a lot of manual labor and keeping an eye on the weight of the trucks. Life in Ta. Sagri is steady. We see the same faces every week. Some of the guys have been here since they were young. We just try to get the work done before it gets too dark. It isn’t a glamorous business, just a lot of steel and hard work in the sun. We are just a local spot making sure things keep moving along for the builders who need supplies in this area.
