Lakhna Devi Foundation

We are located in Khatri Tola, right in the Sadar area of Azamgarh. Our office is set up at Lalli Srivastava’s place. It’s a traditional part of town, and everyone around here knows each other by name. Lakhna Devi Foundation is a small operation. We don’t have many employees, just a few local people who care about what happens in our streets. The building is old, with high ceilings and thick walls that keep it quite cool in the summer. We spend our days sitting in the main room, handling requests and organizing our local projects. Azamgarh has its own pace, and we follow it. There is no rush here. We take the time to listen to whoever walks through the door. Sometimes we spend hours just talking to a visitor before getting to the paperwork. It’s a very personal way of doing things. We don't have a website or any of those modern things. News about us travels by word of mouth in the local bazaar. We use simple tools and keep things uncomplicated.
