If you’re looking for Devanand Clinic, you’ll find us right at Purana Chowk in Bilaria Ganj. This is a very old part of town, and the clinic fits right in with the surroundings. It’s a small, modest place. We don’t have a big reception desk or a dozen waiting rooms. It’s mostly just a simple setup where I can see patients and talk to them about what’s bothering them. Purana Chowk is always a bit chaotic, with people moving through to the market and bikes parked everywhere. The noise from the street comes right inside, but no one seems to mind much. We see a lot of people from the village and the nearby farms. Most of them have been coming here for years. We don't have any fancy technology or a computerized booking system. You just show up, sit on the bench, and wait your turn. It’s a very personal way of doing things. I know most of the people who walk in by name, and I know their family history too. The clinic is practical and honest. We keep a small shelf of medicines for the common stuff so people don’t have to travel all the way to the larger towns. It’s not a polished business by any means. The floor is old and the light flickers sometimes, but we are here every day to help out. That’s just the way things are in Bilaria Ganj.
