Modi Police Store

Our shop is located in Civil Line South, right here in Baranagar. We have been running Modi Police Store for a long time now. We mainly focus on uniforms, belts, and the various bits of gear that officers need for their daily shifts. It is a pretty specific kind of shop, so we do not get a lot of random foot traffic, mostly just the men and women in uniform coming through. The shop stays fairly tidy because everything has its place on the shelves. We spend a lot of time measuring people and making sure the fit is right. A uniform that does not feel good is no use to anyone standing on their feet all day. We have seen many young recruits come in for their first set of clothes and then come back years later after they have been promoted. It is a steady kind of life. We do not go in for big sales or loud signs. People know where we are and they know what we carry. Sometimes we run out of a certain size and have to wait for the next delivery, but that is just how it is. We appreciate the work the officers do, and we just try to make sure they have what they need to do it. It is a quiet corner of Baranagar for the most part, and we like it that way. We are usually here from early morning until the sun goes down.
