Our foundation, Aayan And Sanvi Foundation, is based at Plot No.-117 in Narai Bandh. We are right near the NH-29 highway in the Imiliya area of Mau. Being so close to the highway means there is always a lot of dust and the sound of traffic, but it makes it easy for people to find us. We have a small office where we manage everything. It is just a plain room with a couple of computers and some old wooden chairs. We started this because we wanted to do something for the people in Mau. Most of the time, we are just sitting here going through paperwork or meeting with folks from the village. It is not glamorous work, and the office can get pretty hot in the summer because the fan doesn't always work right. We just drink plenty of water and keep going. We don’t have a big staff, so everyone does a bit of everything, from cleaning the floor to filing the taxes. It is a very hands-on way to run a foundation. We named it after the kids, and that reminds us why we are putting in all these hours. If you are driving down NH-29 and see the Narai Bandh turnoff, that is where we are. We are usually around during the day, just trying to make a small difference in this corner of the world. It’s a simple life and simple work, but it feels right. We hope to stay here for a long time.
